Gradually everyone spread out so it wasn't so crowded.
The scenery today was different now that we are out of the meseta. Not just green fields anymore.
At the next town we passed our Australian friend Peter. He's a funny guy. We've seen him at least three times today.
We passed a man who is soon the camino with his little dog!
By eleven the sun was out. Which was nice at first, but then got super hot as we started to climb some major hills.
The camino turned more into a bike partway through the day. Along with the incline came one million bugs all flying around our faces.
In the next town, Rabanal del Camino, we were greeted by this hawk named Julie who let us hold her.
We had lunch there and then moved on to Foncebadón, which was a 6 km walk. And when I say walk I mean climb.
But before the incline got too steep, we saw all these sheep climbing over the hill next to us.
The steep hills made for some lovely views. Look at those colors!
We arrived in Foncebadón around 3:15 and found a hostel.
At 7 pm we had a communal dinner with ther pilgrims staying at the hostel. We had paella, amongst other things.
The Russians were at our table!
And this character from Norway. He was great fun. He said if he was going to be in Norway when we went we could have stayed with him.
Now it is off to bed!
