Day 6

We started this morning off with the usual breakfast: hot chocolate, toast, and orange juice.

Then we headed out to keep walking. On our way out of Sahagun we passed this lovely arch:

And this nice statue of a pilgrim's staff:

Then it was green fields and wind all the way to the next town - about a six mile walk.

Eventually we arrived on El Burgo Ranero.

Here we had to decide whether to keep walking 13 km to the next town, or to stay there. It was only around one in the afternoon, so we decided to keep going. But first we had a nice lunch in the city.

After lunch we were back on the camino.

We passed some cows.

And other pilgrims (dad, see there are other people on the path!).

Finally at close to five pm we arrived in Reliegos. We found an albergue.

And then had dinner at this bar:

The food was great! Including the tiniest pickles that came on mark's salad.

My meal of chorizo, eggs, potatoes and tomatoes.

It was definitely a memorable place, with old time american music playing and the bar owner whistling along the whole time we ate.
