This morning we mostly walked through small villages on our way to Ponferrada.
When we arrived in Ponferrada we were greeted by this castle:
We we got to go inside and saw some awesome views from the towers.
In the castle they had a temporary book exhibit. We liked the copy of Don Quixote illustrates by Salvador Dali.
We walked through the city and stopped for a doner kebab in the main plaza.
Then we continued on our way.
The walk today was less scenic than it was passing through the mountains. A lot of it was along a road with cars driving by.
We also passed through several small towns. The way was always well marked.
Eventually we were walking through vineyards.
We arrived at the albergue and found it a little peculiar. It is located right next to an old church. Like you walk through the same gate.
I thought we were walking past storage units. So you can imagine my surprise when I discovered my bed inside one of these.
It's basically a little cubicle cult off of the old stone wall. There is no plug and only that one tiny light. A little more rustic than I had anticipated, but oh well.

OH my goodness what a wonderful day and I love your room, it is almost like camping.
