We left Barbadelo before 7 am and walked about 8 km before stopping for breakfast.
We passed another fountain.
And a dog.
And eventually we passed...
The 100 km mark!
Meaning we have only 100 km left to Santiago.
We kept walking after stopping for a quick breakfast.
A lot of the path today was lined with an old stone wall.
Can you spot the pass along card?
Mark made some new friends.
So the camino can be done in one of three ways: on foot, on bike, or on horseback. Biking proves to be significantly faster. We've seen lots of bikers, but only 2 people on horseback (I'm not sad about this because there is already plenty if animal poop to avoid on the trail). But here are some bikers whizzing past us.
For the last 100 km of the journey you are required to get at least two stamps per day in your passport. Luckily mark likes to stop everywhere to get stamps, so this is not a problem for us. I usually watch the bags while he gets the stamps.
One such place we stopped had hand painted shells for sale.
We kept walking.
Until we reached Portomarin.
We stopped in at the cathedral, which used to be located by the river, but started to be submerged so it was rebuilt up in the city.
And had lunch.
Then it was back to walking. Luckily there was shade at first.
But the last 5 km was in the sun. And it was so hot.
Beautiful, but hot.
So hot that I had to have an ice cream come to finish the journey.
Thanks to the ice cream (we each had 2 if I'm being honest), we arrived in Ventas de Narón, where we are staying tonight.
In total we walked a little over 30 km today, about 19 miles. So, we are looking forward to a good night of sleep.

amazing walk today, it is so beautiful and two ice creams :)
